Refurbishment of period penthouse

This project involved the extensive remodelling of a two storey apartment. In order to optimise the wonderful unrestricted views south over Hampstead Heath, the spaces were re-planned and openings in the elevation were maximised.

A large new rooflight brings light down through the flat onto the new sculptural cantilevered staircase, with a stunning hand cast glass bench seat over the void.

The minimalist design and tight planning and access restrictions imposed engineering challenges, with all of the complex structure concealed within the finishes.
