The design of structural elements for this contemporary show garden at the 2008 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The substructure of tubular steel framing clad in 'Corian' to the walkways and platforms were supported on structural glass columns. The 'Corian' surfaces peeled upwards to form tables and seating areas, and were shaded by a leaf canopy 4 metres high.
It was a client requirement that the structure be designed as components to allow the tight show construction program to be met. The design criteria also required that the elements be demountable as the Show Garden was for sale, and would be dismantled carefully and installed in a new home after the show.
